The Benefits of Ground Mounted Solar
A Flexible Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
We will agree a PPA with you for the supply of green energy generated from a nearby solar park ...
The sale of power will remain at a fixed rate throughout the length of our agreement with increases only reflecting the retail price index.
There aren’t any. Unlike most of the solar schemes available, UK-SE are able to offer our clients solar development with absolutely no capital expenditure required.
UK-SE are funded to design and construct solar parks typically costing over £5 million; this means no debt, payback periods or financing.

Safeguard against energy price rises
We expect your savings to increase year on year as Energy Price Index (EPI) continues to accelerate away from Retail Price Index (RPI).
Safeguard against energy price rises by agreeing a predictable PPA for the length of contract decided by you.
A solar system will increase your environmental credentials whilst vastly improving your commitment to sustainability ...
UK-SE aim to utilise low grade, industrial, and on roof space for our solar developments.
Up to 75% of your site's energy demand can be met by solar generation, significantly reducing your dependence on grid sourced electricity.
With the combined cost of broker fees, CCL payments, transmission charges and the rising energy price index (EPI); solar energy is expected to trigger substantial financial savings in the region of 30%.
Maintenance and Lifespan
The solar park can be expected to operate for at least 25 years whilst under constant maintenance at no cost to yourselves, this means if you move properties you can be secure in knowing the solar park can continue generating for the next user.
Once the solar park has reached its operational lifetime, it will be decommissioned to restore the land as it was found with all equipment completely recycled.
A PPA of between 1 and 25 years is available to suit your requirements.
The solar park may at times produce more power than is required ...
This means your entire site demand can be met by solar generation, any surplus generation will seamlessly flow into the national grid. Alternatively, at times of high demand and low generation, certain periods will require a top up of power from the national grid.
The Development Process
UK-SE identify land which may be suitable for solar development, be it land owned by yourself or more commonly, third party land located and secured by UK-SE.
A PPA is then agreed, in which all generated power used on site is metered per kWh (check our website for the current electricity price). Any power not used simply flows back into the national grid without charge.
Once land and a grid connection have been secured, UK-SE will progress planning permission for the proposed development with all planning cost and risk borne by ourselves.
When successful, construction of the solar park commences over a three month period. The connection is integrated to work seamlessly with your current national grid connection, allowing for the immediate use of low cost green power.
The Next Step
For more information on the scheme please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We will then request (if available) a copy of your half hourly energy usage data, this will allow us to undertake a free of charge, no obligation energy savings report modelling estimated energy and financial savings with consideration of irradiance levels, energy demand and operational profiles.
What Are Photovoltaics?
Solar PV is the fastest growing source of energy in the world. Every minute the sun provides enough energy to power the earth for one year, solar PV harnesses this energy by converting daylight into electricity. This technology is now a soundly established and reliable source of green electricity.
Generated electricity can flow into an existing electrical network to become the primary source of power, when the generation cannot be met, electricity is simply taken from the grid to top up any deficit.
