With the combined cost of broker fees, CCL payments, transmission charges and the rising energy price index (EPI); solar energy is expected to trigger substantial financial savings in the region of 30%.

Maintenance and Lifespan

The solar park can be expected to operate for at least 25 years whilst under constant maintenance at no cost to yourselves, this means if you move properties you can be secure in knowing the solar park can continue generating for the next user.

Once the solar park has reached its operational lifetime, it will be decommissioned to restore the land as it was found with all equipment completely recycled.

The solar park may at times produce more power than is required ...

This means your entire site demand can be met by solar generation, any surplus generation will seamlessly flow into the national grid. Alternatively, at times of high demand and low generation, certain periods will require a top up of power from the national grid.

The Development Process

UK-SE identify land which may be suitable for solar development, be it land owned by yourself or more commonly, third party land located and secured by UK-SE.

A PPA is then agreed, in which all generated power used on site is metered per kWh (check our website for the current electricity price). Any power not used simply flows back into the national grid without charge.

Once land and a grid connection have been secured, UK-SE will progress planning permission for the proposed development with all planning cost and risk borne by ourselves.

When successful, construction of the solar park commences over a three month period. The connection is integrated to work seamlessly with your current national grid connection, allowing for the immediate use of low cost green power.
